For the second year in a row, South Carolina's boys and girls All-Star teams walked away with victories at the Carolinas All-Star Basketball Classic.

In the girl's contest, the South Carolina All-Stars dominated the boards and controlled the paint in a 90-71 victory over the North Carolina All-Stars.  SC, paced by MVP N'Dea Bryant's 16 points and 14 rebounds, posted a 73-54 advantage on the boards and outscored NC 48-24 in the paint.  Elizabeth Landers added 10 points and 15 rebounds for SC, while Khadijah Sessions led all scorers with 18 points.  North Carolina was paced by team MVP Sidney Cook's 17 points while Autumn Carter chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The boy's game saw North Carolina lead most of the contest before South Carolina battled back for a 100-96 victory.  Trailing 87-82 with 4:12 to play, South Carolina scored eight unanswered points to take a 90-87 lead with 2:16 on the clock.  The run proved to be the final lead change in a game that had eight lead changes and five tied scores.  As with the South Carolina girls, the boys dominated the paint by outrebounding NC 66-51 and holding a 48-36 advantage scoring in the paint.

SC MVP Jordan Roper led all scorers with 26 points.  Josh Smith earned NC's team MVP honor with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
